Issue 3
Issue 3 would greatly help to reduce the rampant corruption occurring within Cincinnati’s city council. Among the changes presented within the issue, city council member’s would be cut from $65,000 down to the current median household income within the city, $46,000. If the city becomes wealthier, the council members become wealthier, making them more liable to work for the people rather than for themselves.

Other changes include eliminating the pocket veto. As it stands, council members can put forth a voted upon agenda but the mayor can simply choose to never put it forward; this effectively kills the agenda. Issue 3 would also allow for the recall of the mayor, require a one-year residency in the city to serve either as a council member or as mayor, and more. Vote ‘YES’ on Issue 3!
